And you're such a perfect gent, a true romantic,
your little presents always give me a such lift,
and you've told me that even when we're married,
you said that you'll still make a point of giving me a gift.
And when we woke from our fitful slumbers,
there was always that expectant look on your face,
we always knew where to look for our presents,
because Santa always left them in our special place.
Remember walks with Grandpa to get the paper?
Remember Grandpa walking me down the aisle?
Remember making me French Toast for breakfast with a Coke?
Remember Christmas in (place) and wrapping presents until one a.m.?
Remember watching (name) horseback riding for the first time?
And you're such a perfect gent, a true romantic,
your little presents always give me a such lift,
and you've told me that even when we're married,
you said that you'll still make a point of giving me a gift.
