Why do you want the poem written: To express to her how much she means to me after 10 years of marriage

What are the key messages you would like to send: I'm blessed to have her as my partner. Together we make each other better.

Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: We met 13 yrs ago on a blind date at the botanical garden.
On our second date she thought I stood her up at a restaurant and on her way home see spotted my truck in a collision and stopped to help me and then we went on our second date after they towed the wreck away. We were married exactly 3 years later at the botanical garden.

Do you have any other comments or thoughts: 6 months after we met April was involved in severe auto accident and suffered facial trauma. She thought I would leave her but the incident only brought us closer together.

We Make Each Other

Hello, my wonderful April,
these words are just for you,
because I'm proud of who you are,
and I'm very proud of what you do.

And I just wanted to say "I love you",
but in truth, I didn't know where to start,
so I thought I'd share a few feelings,
and give you some words, straight from the heart.

Firstly, I'd like to begin by looking skywards,
and thanking those in the heavens above,
because I know I've been blessed to have shared you,
I know that I've been blessed with your love.

I wanted you to know how much you mean to me,
because in truth, I love you with all my heart and soul,
and with you in my life, I feel complete,
yes, you are the one that makes me completely whole.

And we've shared so many wonderful moments,
in truth, there's just too many to individually list,
just know that each and every one is precious,
there's not one that we would have missed.

Now, our story started out at a botanical garden,
the date was but I certainly wasn't blind,
and I knew then what I'd discovered,
it was like this rare and precious find.

But on our second date you thought I'd stood you up,
that was until you saw my wrecked truck on the highway,
so you stopped and helped, we continued with our date,
that is, after they'd towed the wreck away.

Six months later you were involved in your own accident,
you thought I'd leave, but we only came closer together,
and now, twelve and a half years later,
well, now I know our story will last forever and ever.

I'll never forget our beautiful wedding ceremony,
exactly three years later, in the garden where we met,
and I know our story is only just starting,
as the saying goes: "You ain't see nothing yet!"

And together, we make each other better,
and I've never really said just how wonderful you are,
but if my love for you were a distance,
then it would be further than the furthest star.

I also wanted to say: "Happy 10th Anniversary",
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, April, you're truly wonderful,
and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore.
