A poem for a very special friend saying they will be there for them forever.

Present And Future Verses
Hello, my very good friend,
mere distance may keep us apart,
just know that I'm always thinking of you,
and that you have a special place in my heart.
These present verses are just for you,
I've had them especially penned,
just words from the soul,
from the soul of a faraway friend.
I admire you so very much,
you have an inner beauty that is so strong,
and I promise to be your friend forever,
I promise to never, ever, do you wrong.
You truly are an amazing person,
so beautiful, intelligent and giving,
you've been an inspiration to me,
you've made my life all the better for living.
We've had our share of heartaches,
yes, we've had our troubled times,
but seeds of true friendship grow in deep valleys,
as do thoughtful and heartfelt rhymes.
And when the going got tough,
it would've been so easy for you to walk away,
but you chose to stand by me,
you chose to stick with me and stay.
And for that I'll be eternally grateful,
trust me, I'll be forever in your debt,
because you are a most wonderful person,
in fact, the nicest that I've ever met.
I'll always be there for you,
and now I know what friends are for,
just know that I'll always watch out for you,
and watch out for you for evermore.
I will cherish every one of our conversations,
and every moment that we have together,
and I will be your friend for a long, long time,
strike that, you'd better make that forever.
What we have is precious,
indeed, it is a very rich vein of gold,
and I'm looking forward to our future,
and our future verses, as yet unwritten and untold. |
