Who do you want the poem written for: Randy Thomas

Why do you want the poem written: For Valentines day to hopefully convey all that he means to me. Since we are in law enforcement we cannot always celebrate a holiday on the actual day so our Valentine's Day will be Wednesday instead of Monday.

What are the key messages you would like to send: He has always been there for me and shows me as well as tells me everyday how much I mean to him. I, on the other hand, do not verbally express my emotions. I keep them inside and he wears them on his sleeve but he seems to still stay beside me and support me through everything that happens. I want him to know how much I love, appreciate, adore, cherish and need him. he gives me such much love, support and happiness that I sometimes feel guilty that I may never give him enough and never could.

Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: I have Lupus and he is very caring and understanding of it. He has tried to learn all he can about the disease so that he can make me more comfortable when I am not well. We recently lost our son the day before he was to be delivered. We were devastated but he still tries to be strong for me. He has filled my life with such a great love and support and it seems I have given him nothing but pain and sorrow in return. When we first met we worked opposite each other so we rarely saw each other and barely spoke unless it was work related. The first time we actually got to speak about anything outside of work was at a very boring meeting. We both sat in the back next to each other and began to talk to keep from being bored to death. We hit it off well. We began laughing and joking and never reliazed the meeting was over until people began to leave. Outside, the officer that was conducting the meeting confronted him and wanted to know how long we had been sleeping together. He was shocked and replied with that was the first time I've ever really gotten to talk with her. The officer did not believe him. After that day people at work thought that something was going on between us and we had only spoken once. They would always make comments in reference to sex or the two of us being a couple and we would both always reply that we were only friends because that is all it was at the time. From there it grew into a need. The need to see each other, talk to each other, be next to each other even if we never spoke we just needed the other near.

Do you have any other comments or thoughts: We are both in law enforcement and work together, which is how we met. Everyone says that when we are in a room together no one else seems to be there as far as we are concerned. We finish each others thoughts and sentences. They say we ignore everyone around us if we are together. Either one of us could be in conversation with someone else and when the others walks in we break out into conversation between the two of us. They all call us true soul mates. When we are apart there is a physical pain that we both feel even if the time apart is just a few hours. When we are apart we seem to feel things that the other is experiencing. For example, if I am not feeling well due to my illness and we are not together, he somehow knows. He would do anything for me and deny me nothing. He puts above everyone and everything else in his life, including his badge. We are each other's best friend. He means to me more than any other man ever has. He definitely completes me. If I did not have him to turn to I would be lost and empty. He has told me so many times that we have blended together as one heart and one soul. He is right, others have said that they cannot tell where one of us ends and the other begins. On an emotional and physical level he has moved me as no man ever has. His touch makes me shiver and melt.

Do you have any last comments or thoughts: As I am not good at expressing my feelings I hope that I have given you enough information to be able to help you thank the man that means the world to me and hopefully he will be able to feel the depth of the love I have for him within my heart, soul and very being.

Until The End Of Tomorrow

You've always been there for me, and every day, you express what's in my heart, and now it's my turn to share my feelings, now, where on Earth can I start? You see, you mean so very much to me, in truth, I love you with all my heart and soul, for with you in my life, I feel complete, you are the one that makes me completely whole. I know that today is Wednesday, not Monday, but every day of the year, you're my Valentine, and I know I don't wear my heart on my sleeve often, but today, you'll hear my love for you in every line. You're always so expressive, whereas I am not, I keep it inside, you wear yours on your sleeve, but you stay beside me and support me in everything, truly, in you, I've found my own dream to believe. I love, appreciate, adore, cherish and need you, in fact, I'm grateful for everything you've ever done, your love has been my light, my inspiration, in every way, you're like my morning sun. You give me so much love, support and happiness, I sometimes feel guilty I don't give enough back, it's your love and compassion that guides me, you are the beacon that keeps me on track. You saved me from dying of boredom in that meeting, the tongues started wagging because we got on so well, we were only friends at the time, but the need grew, and the winds of fate know we had a tale to tell. Because true soul mates are just meant to be, and to be honest, I don't think we could have been denied, and I know I couldn't have picked a finer soul-mate, I know I couldn't - even if I'd tried. We finish each other thoughts and sentences, when you walk into a room, I see your light, and if we're apart, we both feel the pain, it would be impossible to sleep without you at night. From a distance, you know when I'm not feeling well, and it's your love that helps me to mend, you put me above everyone and everybody in your life, and that's good because we're each other's very best friend. Without you, I'd be lost and empty, an empty vessel, alone and all at sea, because we've blended together as one and heart and soul, and truly, you mean the very world to me. I have no end, you have no beginning, we are just the one, strands of the same thread, and that thread is worn proudly on your sleeve, so hopefully, this makes up for the words I've never said. Because on an emotional and physical level, you have moved me like, well, simply no other, you've taken my mind and body to the stars and back, your touch makes me shiver and melt, you're one hell of a lover! I know that we all have crosses to bear, but you're very understanding and it's so obvious that you are, when I need my knight in shining armor, well, I see a glint and you're standing there. It was devastating to lose our son, but sometimes, there's no rhyme or reason on planet Earth, but through our devastation, you stood strong, and I found out about you and your true and honest worth. Because you've filled my life with great love and support, and it seems in return, all I've given you is grief and sorrow, but I promise, tomorrow I'll love you more that today, and I'll keep doing that until the end of tomorrow.
