A poem to an employer, who is leaving the company and emigrating, expressing how much they will be missed.
We have been asked not to publish the details of this request.
Memorable Rhymes
Parting is such sweet sorrow,
or at least that's what they say,
and we know that we agree with them,
because, sadly, this is your last day.
World Finer Foods,
although still an employee's delight,
will seem a little sadder place,
it won't feel quite so right.
We will miss your skills in the kitchen,
we'll have to find something else to eat,
because, Diana, you'll be off in Florida,
too far to send your delicious baked treats.
So, maybe it's time for some laughter,
and even a time for some tears,
let's have a fond look back,
at those thirteen wonderful years:
Do you remember typing checks on the typewriter,
when Solomon would go down?
How about the dishwasher flooding the kitchen
We're lucky you didn't drown.
You'll be taking Tux and Shadow
Your grandchildren as you like to say
We hope Hector will like that Florida sun
While your mother relaxes all day
Friends and family will be left behind
as you set off, this is true,
But we're sure they'll visit often,
you know what that winter chill can do.
Your hobbies will keep you busy,
you cook, bake, decorate and sew,
We're sure you'll find some garage sales,
if we hear of any we'll let you know.
We're really going to miss you,
you're hardworking, never afraid of the toil,
always looking for the bright side of things,
outgoing, friendly, honest and loyal.
And we just want to wish you BON VOYAGE,
as you set sail for sunnier climes,
here's to years of happiness in Florida,
and to many more memorable rhymes. |
