A poem from sister to brother on his wedding day saying how proud she is.
We have been asked not to publish the details of this request.
Meant to Be
You are my younger brother,
and as such, for you, I deeply care,
I have such a mix of emotions,
to see you proudly standing there.
Because I've looked out for you,
and I watched you as you've grown,
I can't help feeling a touch of sadness,
because from the nest you've finally flown.
But from the moment I met Heather,
I knew she was the one for you,
I prayed that you'd be together,
and that God's destiny would run true.
I am truly so very happy,
that today we're all at sea,
and I know that your marriage will last forever,
because some things are just meant to be.
We have always been so very close,
for you, all I've ever wanted is the best,
and to put it very plainly,
none of the others passed the test :0)
Lori and I,
(in some very strange way),
just knew in our hearts,
that Heather would be our sister someday.
And that day is here,
and what a wonderful day it is,
a ship, the sea, the sun, the sky,
a beautiful couple and wedded bliss.
So I'd like to wish you Bon Voyage,
as your new sails are unfurled,
just know that I'll always be here for you,
and that I wish you both all the happiness in the world. |
