Martha and Nove - Colgate Clean

Happy 50th Anniversary, these lines are just for you, because we're proud of who you are, and we're so very proud of what you do. You both grew up in rural Indiana, you were once bitten and forever in love with its charm, and now you're equally at home on Sunset Drive, as you are when you're down on the farm. One in soap, the other in toothpaste, you both worked at the matchmaker Colgate, your eyes met across a crowded production line, and it wasn't that long before you started to date. And a man's duty has to be done, so Nova, you were a marine in the Korean War, Martha, you kept the home fires burning, and looked forward to his return once more. You married at St. Johns Catholic Church, the date was May 10th, in 1952, and Martha, you made Nova the happiest man alive, when you proudly and loudly said "I do". We three have fond memories of visiting you, every summer when we were young, we had so much excitement in your sunshine, we had so much innocent summer fun. Even though you both worked all week at Colgate, you would drive every weekend "out home", Martha, you would help with the cooking canning and freezing, whilst Nova would help Leo and Jerome. You worked at Colgate until you retired, gainfully employed to the very last, but all that's now behind you, it's etched forever in Colgate's past. You still love to entertain, and are happiest when with friends and family, and the player piano in your bar, well, that makes it a special place to be. You have scores of other nieces and nephews, but we three ?kids? live in Atlanta, so very far apart, but you're always there in our thoughts, and we're still joined together at the heart. Nova, you're a legendary deer hunter, and there's not a turkey that's safe when you're around, so very deadly with your rifle, and your bow and arrow never make a sound. You've not only shot Wild Turkey, but you've downed the odd shot once or twice, and you've compiled the complete collection of decanters, I bet only Nova knows the true price ! Martha, you're a legendary cook, doing wonders with Nova's game, you're also quite a dish yourself, and your is hair is always perfect, always the same! You've still got a great figure, and take pride in how you look, you obviously divide your time, between your beauty and the old cookery book ! You buy a new Cadillac, every other year, and not surprisingly it's kept Colgate clean, and of all the houses in the world, yours is the cleanest I've ever seen! You've always been so generous, and you've donated an organ to St. John's, quite fitting that it will be played for your anniversary mass , and quite fitting that we'll be singing your songs. Because you are very much loved, we wish you continued happiness and health, you are very much appreciated, your love has been a wonderful source of wealth. So we'd just like to wish you Happy Anniversary, that's really what these words are for, here's to you Martha and Nova, and here's to at least another fifty more. Because you've shown us how to be clean living, and you've personified the true meaning of love, so let us give thanks for Colgate, and of course, let us give thanks to God above.
