Who do you want the poem written for: Dan

Why do you want the poem written: August 9 will be our first wedding anniversary. We have been together for two years, we were married on the day we met, exactly one year later. We instantly connected! we knew within the first 2 mths of dating we were going to marry. I feel like i have known him all my life. He come to mean so much to me. Dan is my heart and my soul. He has touched my life in ways that words can not even describe. 4 months before we were married he agreed to take on the responsibility of getting guardianship of my 2 cousins (lisa & Steve)without reservation. Even when the hard times hit us we still were able to keep our relationship strong! He has been my strength when i was weak, a shoulder to lean on, my person to "vent" to. and i wanted to find a unique way to let him know how much he means to me, how i appreciate him, and how much i love him. he is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

What are the key messages you would like to send: how much i love him. how i appreciate him. and how i can not imagine my life without him.

August Nine

Life is made up of favorite moments, a special minute, a memorable hour, an unforgettable day, and that one line says so very much, but there?s still an awful lot left to say: You see, we instantly connected when we met, like two jigsaw pieces, joined soul to soul, and ever since that moment, I?ve been complete, Dan, you?re the one that?s made me completely whole. I feel like I?ve known you my whole life, you have come to mean so very much to me, you?ve made such a difference to my world, with you, my Earth is a much better place to be. You are my heart, you are my soul, you?ve touched my life in ways I can?t explain, and I know if I had to have a Groundhog Day, there?d be one day I?d replay again and again. You took on Lisa and Steve without reservation, even when the hard times hit we remained strong, you?ve been my strength when I?ve been weak, when I was stuck you pulled me right along. You were my unyielding shoulder to lean on, I would never have managed without your support, you were the one person that I could ?vent? to, and I want to leave you with just one last thought. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me, absolutely the best thing by a country mile, it was my stoke of genius to have met you, and then have the good sense to walk down that aisle. The day we met, the day we married, well, of course, the dates were the same, on those days my life changed forever, and on one of them I was so proud to take your name. And I can?t imagine my life without you, if I?d even try I?d see only dark, because you are my love, my light, my inspiration, for my Universe to unfold, all it needed was a spark. And Dan, that spark was you, my friend, and ever since, you?ve lit up my whole night sky, and I wanted to express my love for you, or at least, give it my very best try. At the start I spoke of a favorite moment, but I think I?ll save that to the very last line, actually, it wasn?t a moment, it was 48 magnificent hours, and of course, the dates happened to be August Nine!
