Why do you want the poem written: It is our 2nd anniversary

What are the key messages you would like to send: We have had a very rough 2 years. I would like to let my husband know that even though we have had more downs then ups that I still love him every much.My husband works very hard to give my daughter and myself a very good life. He has taken us in and given us more then I would have ever dream of having. He has provided us with a beautiful home and good life.

Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: The first time that he ever told me that he loved me was Oct. 4 2001 when he was out of town and chatting on the internet. I was so over come that I started to cry. I never thought that the time would come that he would tell me that he loved me. I remember the first time that we went away together.....we went to the cabin at the lake. That was the closest that I had ever felt to him. That is when I knew that he was the one for me. After a very rough first year on our first anniversary he took me to Jamaica. We both were able to find each other again.....we were able to forget for that short time all the pain that had been caused. This was a chance for us to renew our love for each other.

Do you have any other comments or thoughts: I never in my wildest dreams did I ever believe that he would be the one that I married.

The last two years haven't been easy, but life is never really a rose filled dream, but through it all, we've stuck together, we've proved to the world we truly are a team. And I know there's been more downs than ups, but don't worry, it will all flatten out in the end, and I just wanted to say thank you, I wanted to thank you for being my trusted friend. Actually, I also wanted to say "I love you", but in truth, I just didn't know where to start, so I thought I'd share a few thoughts, and give you some words, straight from the heart. I know you just want the best for me and Stevie, and because of that, you work so very hard, and it's always difficult to keep the balance, sometimes it's all too easy to become battle scarred. But you've given us more than I'd ever dreamed of, you've provided a beautiful home and a good life, and I just wanted to say "I'm proud of you", I'm very proud to be called "your wife". I remember the first time you told me that you loved me, October 4th, 2001, you see, I even remember the date, you were out of town and we were chatting on the Net, two ships in love, separated by the winds of fate. I was so overcome that I started to cry, I never thought the "I love you" moment was about, I never thought someone so beautiful could love me, (and yes, you are beautiful, on the in and the out). I remember the first time that we went away together, how could I forget? We went to the cabin at the lake, that was the closest I had ever felt with you, that's when I knew you were the icing on my cake. I'll admit that our first year together was pretty tough, but we went to Jamaica, and I went of my own accord, and once there, we found each other once again, and once more, our love flew and really soared. In that short time we forgot all the pain that we'd caused, it was a chance to start afresh, to once again renew, and that was good, because never in my wildest dreams, did I think, well, I never thought that I'd be married to you. Now, I know that sounded a little blunt, but I haven't yet said just how wonderful you are, and if my love for you were a distance, then it would be further than the furthest star. And our dreams will, one day, surely happen, and we'll be there by the lake, on the farm, no matter what happens to and in this mad world, we'll be there, safe and far from harm. In that oil painting of our perfect future, there's you and Stevie, getting on real well, because she'll be proud of her father figure, and I hope that one day, you can surely tell. I also know that you want to be home with your family, and for us, for our dreams, there's been many a sacrifice, well, I just wanted to thank you for being you, I've never known a husband even half as nice. I do appreciate everything you do for us, and yes, it does get noticed all of the time, we just forget to say "thank you, Fred", and that's the main reason for this rhyme. But I also wanted to say Happy 2nd Anniversary, I guess that's really what these words are for, here's to you, Fred, you're truly wonderful, and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore.
