10th Wedding Anniversary poem to a couple who still as much in love today as they were ten years age

Why do you want the poem written: 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY
What are the key messages you would like to send: THE STRONG BOND OF MARRIAGE THEY SHARE. AND DESPITE ALL THE HECTIC MOMENTS IN THEIR LIVES WITH CAREERS AND RAISING 3 GIRLS, THEY STILL FIND TIME TO CARE AND BE BEST FRIENDS TO EACHOTHER.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: (1) THE DAY ONE OF THEIR DOGS ESCAPED FROM THE APARTMENT AND THE OTHER ONE STOOD THERE WITH HIS HEAD POKING OUT LOOKING VERY CONFUSED AS IF TO SAY"HOW'D SHE DO THAT".. (2) THE DAY ANTHONY TOLD LISA THAT HE COULDN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE WITH HER AS THE SONG WAS PLAYING (3) THE BIGGEST RULE THEY FOLLOW IS NEVER GO TO BED ANGRY.. EASIER SAID THAN DONE BUT THEY DO IT AND CLAIM THAT IS WHAT KEEPS THEM AS MUCH IN LOVE TODAY AS IT DID 10 YEARS AGO.
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: EVERY TIME LISA IS FRUSTRATED WITH THE GIRLS, SHE YELLS "AN-THO-NYYYYY" AND HE COMES RUNNING (BECAUSE HE KNOWS LISA WILL LOOSE HER MIND) AND WITHIN SECONDS HE CALMS HER DOWN AND HAS THE KIDS UNDER CONTROL AND SHE REWARDS HIM BY CALLING OUT A THOUSAND COMMANDS OF THINGS FOR HIM TO DO (SHE TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION WITHOUT REALIZING IT) AND HE DOES IT ALL, WITH HIS TAIL BETWEEN HIS LEGS AND BEING SO CLUELESS AS TO WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON, HE ACTS AS IF HE IS THE ONE WHO IS IN TOTAL CONTROL OF THE SITUATION. IT IS SO HILARIOUS TO WATCH.

Do you have any last comments or thoughts: I WANT THEM TO KNOW THEY HAVE A MARRIAGE THAT IS VERY MUCH ADMIRED AND THEY DO A WONDERFUL JOB AT GIVING THEIR 3 GIRLS NOTHING BUT THE VERY BEST... GIVING MUCH MORE THAN THEY EVER COULD HAVE IMAGINED HAVING AS KIDS.
Lisa and AN - THO - NYYYYYYYYYYYY
Ladies and gentlemen,
can I have your attention please?
Because every now and then in life,
there's opportunity you should seize.
And that moment is upon us,
as 10 years ago, Lisa and Anthony were wed,
and I've got some thoughts on my mind,
yes, there are some heartfelt words that need to be said:
You see, I think they have such a great marriage,
it is one that should be very much admired,
they give their three girls nothing but the best,
their devotion has been effortless and has never tired.
And despite all the hectic moments that they share,
they have this special glue, it's their marriage bond,
they still find the time to care and love each other,
making special things happen with one wave of their magic wand.
Like the day that Anthony couldn't stop falling,
the day when there was movement in the heavens above,
the Earth shook, stars collided, Universe's shifted,
because their song was playing and he was falling in love.
They say that they never go to bed angry,
and I must admit that's easier said than done,
but it's what keeps their love alive and burning,
and I think it's why they continue to have so much fun.
Now, it's not that their life has not had it's dramas,
because I remember when one of their dogs got loose,
the other dog stood there looking very confused,
as if to say "How'd she do that, what was her excuse?"
And every time Lisa is frustrated with the girls,
she yells "AN - THO - NYYYYYYYYYYYY",
and then he drops everything that he's doing,
he comes running to save her mind and her sanity.
Within seconds he has the kids under control,
and of course, he soothes and calms Lisa down,
and then he's rewarded with a thousand other commands,
I think he's the busiest husband in this here town.
But he does it all, clueless and tail between his legs,
he acts like he's in charge (but he just doesn't know),
actually, it is so very hilarious to watch,
I reckon they could charge for this little show.
But seriously, they love each other deeply,
they are each other's very best friend,
and the love that they share is so eternal,
it'll still be burning long after their journey's end.
And I just wanted to say Happy 10th Anniversary,
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, Lisa and AN - THO - NYYYYYYYYYYYY, you're truly wonderful,
and here's to your everlasting love, for evermore. |
