Angels

The first year was wonderful,
sex was an endless thing,
we were making the kind of music,
our angels used to sing.

But then my ex came back,
another man from another time,
and all of a sudden,
our words went out of rhyme.

What happened to us ?
Where did we go wrong ?
Now the sex is a memory,
all the nice things have gone.

And now it is Xmas time,
with memories of our past,
and I can't help wondering,
whether this will be our last.

I don't want to lose you,
I still love you dear,
I want to sit and hold you,
I just want you to be near.

So can't we start over ?

Can't we go back to where,
our angels learnt to fly ?
