A Gift of Poetry. The perfect gift for any occasion

A Gift of Poetry A Gift of Poetry. The unique gift for every occasion. A gift that says it all.

A gift of poetry for wife after ten years of marriage.

This is the closest my long suffering wife ever got to having a love song written about her (at least from me !). This one is for you Karen, thanks for everything.

Thirty Seven

Today is my birthday
I've made it, thirty seven,
Still dreaming about life,
Trying to make it heaven.

Got married this day too,
Ten years have gone so fast,
You could hear everybody say,
"I bet it doesn't last".

Where are they now?
Because we're doing just fine,
Have they all gone quiet
Or are they biding their time ?

There's a smile on my face
And I never say never,
But I'm going to be with my girl,
For ever and for ever.

You see, she was a fighter,
That's why I liked her so much,
And I finally fell in love,
The night she smashed my truck.

I think of what could've been,
With all the twists of fates,
I could have married the yank,
And be living in the States !

What if I'd married the rock star,
The one I'd never met,
Life couldn't have been this good,
And it still ain't over yet.

And as I watch my children flourish,
My heart swells with pride,
And I thank my lucky stars,
For having you as my bride.
