What are the key messages you would like to send: From the moment we were married and everyday since, he has been the greatest husband, best friend, and wonderful dad to our three boys
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: The sad moments were the death of our parents Conchita,Miguel(his parents) and my dad Eduardo. And dealing with our youngest sons drug addiction and how our love and faith has kept us strong. Our happy moments have seen our boys grow up Miguel our oldest with dads personality in the tourism and restaurant business, Jose our middle son will be graduating from Medical School in May and the youngest Juan Carlos recovering.

From The Very Moment
Hello, my wonderful Mike,
these words are just for you,
because I'm proud of who you are,
and I'm very proud of what you do.
And I just wanted to say "I love you",
but in truth, I didn't know where to start,
so I thought I'd share a few feelings,
and give you some words, they're straight from the heart:
Firstly, I'd like to begin by looking skywards,
and thanking those in the heavens above,
because I know I've been blessed to have shared you,
I know that I've been blessed with your love.
I wanted to get you something that you would not expect,
something that expressed exactly how I feel,
because I know what we have is something so precious,
it's a treasure that you could never beg, borrow or steal.
I wouldn't trade you for anything in the world,
all the tea in China or all the fishes in the sea,
because I love you so very, very much,
you've made my world a great place to be.
From the very moment that we were married,
for every minute every since that wonderful day,
you've been the greatest husband, my best friend,
and that one line leaves so very much still to say:
Of course, we've had our share of ups and downs,
but life is rarely, if ever, a rose filled dream,
but through it all, we've stuck together,
we've proved to the world we truly are a team.
And Conchita, Miguel and Eduardo are no longer with us,
but their spirit lives on inside us, alive and well,
and our love and faith has kept us strong,
I'm proud of you (I hope by now you can surely tell).
And it's been difficult dealing with some addictions,
but in the journey of life, it's just another test,
but of all the fathers who could have faced that dragon,
well, let me tell you, our son has had the very best.
And we've watched in awe as our boys have grown,
Miguel definitely has inherited your personality,
Jose will graduate from Medical School in July,
and Juan Carlos is on the way to all that he can be.
Officially, I wanted to thank you for our three boys,
I think of them and my heart swells and fills with pride,
and I know they couldn't have chosen a finer father,
I know they couldn't - even if they'd tried.
Through all of our medical scares and surgery,
God, family and friends have always been there for us,
but especially, we've been there for each other,
and you've always coped with a minimum of fuss.
I have so much love, respect and admiration for you,
and every day, you prove just how much you truly care,
and if I could visualize the perfect husband, the perfect father,
well, my mind would conjure up a picture of you standing there.
I really do appreciate how you provide for us all,
and I'd like to thank you for everything you've ever done,
your love has been my inspiration, my light,
in every way, you've been like my morning sun.
I hope you know by now that you're my one and only,
in truth, I simply love you with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel so complete,
yes, you and the boys make me so completely whole.
You're truly great at everything you do,
and you're a fantastic person to be around,
it's marvelous to be living my life with you,
my love for you simply knows no limit, no abound.
You see, life got so much better after we met,
and there's been so much more laughter than tears,
and I know we've got so much to look forward to,
I just hope you can put up with me for another 30 years.
I do hope that this anniversary is our best ever,
because I've never really expressed just how wonderful you are,
but if my love for you were a distance,
then it would be further than the furthest star.
I'd also like to say Happy 30th Anniversary,
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, Mike, you're truly wonderful,
and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore. |
