A poem to be read announcing who will be employer of the year!
We have been asked not to publish the details of this request.
Envelope Please
Ladies and gentlemen,
can I have your attention please?
Every now and then in life,
there's opportunity you should seize,
Because days, weeks, months happen,
and the years they can go so fast,
and words that should get said,
don't, and if they do, they never last.
So I'm going to change all that,
change it right here and right now,
I hope the right words come along,
I'll give it my best shot - anyhow.
You see, we're all gathered here,
to award the employee of the year,
it's the reason for this gathering,
and why we've ordered in more beer !
But before we get to the announcement,
we have a few awards to give away,
so without further ado,
I'd better quickly have my say.
Of all the employees we have,
who is the sweetest one we've got?
You've guessed it - it's Naomi,
kind of sweet and kind of hot.
Now who's got the cutest boyfriend?
Holly, you get that prize,
and don't just stand there looking gorgeous,
with that innocent glint in your eyes.
The next award is to a couple,
to the pair who are most active at night,
and now they've got the cutest little baby,
I think her Copper Sky's future is looking bright.
Now, Justin is the handsomest employee,
that may come as a bit of a shock,
but the one with the most touch-downs,
well of course, that must simply go to Jock.
The quickest expeditors are Kara and Sara,
which is a rhyme within a rhyme,
and the employee most likely to manage,
is Dan - you watch, just give him time.
Dylan, James, Bob and Conan win the "charming" award,
and Tahir wins the "dark, handsome and kind of short"
the fastest is Hannah, the nicest is Lauren,
and Tracey, please accept this watch which we've bought.
So, as you can plainly see,
we have such a talented team,
and that is why Copper Sky is the best,
and serves the finest ever southwest cuisine.
And with all this talent before me,
it makes it very difficult to choose,
I'd like to award "Employee Of The Year" to you all,
but I'm sorry - someone has to lose.
Because the night sky and life is like that,
there's always one star that shines a little more,
but I would seriously like to thank you all,
and that's really what these words are for.
So, without another moment's hesitation,
and I really don't mean to tease,
I'd like to tell you who the winner is,
can you pass me the envelope, please? |
