Bride to Groom on Wedding Day

What is your name : Lisa

Who do you want the poem written for: Mo (real name Glenn Moses).

Why do you want the poem written: I am marrying the most amazing man on January 29th (yes, 2 weeks) and I want assistance in helping me express my thoughts and feelings

What style of poem would you prefer (happy, sad, romantic etc.): happy, romantic

What are the key messages you would like to send: I would like to express that from the day I met mo, I knew. I had been involved in other very good and comfortable relationships but none that was so completing as this. Glenn (Mo) is the most emotionally mature, unconditional loving, spiritually enlightened, caring, funny, passionate and compassionate ( I could go on and on) man I have ever met. I believe we have known each other in other lives and have chosen to spend our lives together through paths chosen. He accepts me for who I am, emotional baggage included and truly believes I am the most amazing woman he has ever met. Our first date was February 6, 2003 and the magical journey continues.....

Please choose which package you would prefer: Deluxe

Will you require the original handwritten drafts?: Yes

Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: Funny- Well Mo is always hilarious. He has a wicked sense of humor. I find it funny that he is a terrible driver and very forgetful so it is a "personal funny" everytime he passes where we are going, gets lost, forgets everything. Specific funny moments are hard as we are ALWAYS laughing. I always call him schmucko when he tells his silly jokes. Well, we call each other schmucko. We always say at the wedding our vows would be "I schmucko take you schmucko to be my lawful wedded....." Happy moments- We spent our first of his birthday's together. I surprised him at the Ritz Carlton and had a in room catered menu customized, it was sooo romantic but we ended up drinking to much wine and fell asleep on the couch after dinner. Happy was when we got engaged the year after, again I suprised him with a dinner (april 1) catered on the water at home by our fav restaurant. My thank you for that was he proposed at 3 AM in the middle of the night after we had gone to sleep. He wanted to propose at dinner but the surprises kept coming so he did not have a chance. Sad- When Glenn's grandfather Pop (Lou) passed away. I was able to meet him prior to his passing and Mo was so thrilled that I was able to share in the joy of his grandfather meeting me and the pain of losing him. His grandmother Nan (Belle) had passed the year before we met and he always wishes I would have met her in person rather than just spiritually.

Do you have any last comments or thoughts : Mo LOVES my dog, Oliver. Oliver has become his "son" and would probably sell me at auction for his "Uncle Mo" (just kidding...maybe). Oliver lovvvvveeeessss his Uncle Mo so much and that is so important to me. He has been so supported through the dysfunctional-ness of my parents and is so supportive. I want him to know how much that means to me. I want Mi Mo (what I call him) to know how blessed I feel having him in my life and that I am so excited that we will be married and have the opportunity to share our lives together.

From The Day I Met You

From the day I met you, I knew,
I knew here was happiness for the rest of my life,
I knew that I'd love you forever and ever,
I knew that one day, today, I'd be your wife.

You see, no one has completed me like you,
and I do love you with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel complete,
you are the one that makes me completely whole.

You're emotionally mature, spiritually enlightened,
you're funny, caring, loving and oh so kind,
you're passionate, compassionate and unconditional,
and I know that a love like ours is so hard to find.

Actually, I could go on and on and on,
because truly, you're the greatest man I've ever met,
and although we've shared so many wonderful times,
as the saying goes: "You ain't seen nothing yet".

I believe we have known each other before now,
and that's why we've chosen our paths together,
a journey that was started so long ago,
a journey that's destined to last forever and ever.

You accept me for who I am,
and I've never said just how wonderful you are,
but if my love for you were a distance,
then it would be further than the furthest star.

I love the way that you accept my emotional baggage,
but I must admit, you've lightened my load,
and I think it's funny you're such a terrible driver,
I'm getting used to shouting "Get out of the road!".

Actually, you have a wicked sense of humor,
but you also have a brain that likes to forget,
and when we can stop laughing we call each other "schmucko",
I scmucko, take you schmucko...hang on, not yet!

Because we've shared so many great times,
precious memories, that I'll always treasure and keep,
like the time at The Ritz Cartton we ate in the room,
very romantic, (too much wine and we fell asleep).

I'll never forget our engagement dinner,
but your proposal got delayed by my surprise,
so you proposed to me at 3 am in the morning,
of course I said "yes" (after I'd wiped the sleep from my eyes).

And I know that Oliver loves you too,
in fact, I'm a little worried about being traded in,
but Mi Mom, I know I've been blessed to have met you,
you've taught me to smile, laugh, chortle and grin.

And Lou and Belle are here with us today,
because their spirit lives on, inside of us all,
and I know you wish I could have met Belle,
but it's OK, she had to answer God's call.

And I also know that we have their blessings,
and that is something I know here, deep inside,
because they too know I couldn't have picked a finer husband,
they know I couldn't - even if I'd tried.

And from the day that I met you,
I knew that I'd been blessed by the heavens above,
I knew I'd be standing here before you,
I knew that I'd promise you my eternal love.
