A poem for special parents at Christmas
We've been asked not to publish the details of this request.
Christmas Times
The magic of Christmas time is upon us,
and once more the smell of pine is in the air,
and we have so many loving feelings,
feelings that we'd like to share.
Because you've been such wonderful parents,
you've been an inspiration to us all,
you've always been there to guide us,
and to pick us up when we fall.
.
Dad, when we were very young,
how you'd love us to brush your hair,
you'd always give us "ten minutes to stop that",
those were very special moments to share.
And we'd like to fondly remember our mini farm,
but plucking chicken feathers is not in a girl's dreams,
and chasing cows at midnight,
is harder (and colder) than it seems !
But you've worked hard all of your lives,
and your outstanding values you've instilled,
you've laid down some solid foundations,
on which we all can happily build.
You've been a wonderful team,
and you have respect for one another,
and the best present you ever gave us,
was of course, our little brother !
You've been the perfect role models,
you've created a strong sense of family pride,
and we couldn't have picked better parents,
we couldn't, even if we'd tried.
And as these lines draw to an end,
and come to their inevitable close,
we would like to thank you for being great parents,
and that's about it, I suppose...
Apart from: You are the magic in our Christmas Times,
because of you every single one of us thrives,
so (on this special occasion), we'd just like to say thank you,
thanks for creating all of our wonderful lives. |
