Like The Song
I have some special thoughts for you,
they're the kind of words the angels must have sung,
and I hope you find the meaning in the lines,
because the heart that loves is forever young.
Two souls with but a single thought,
what were two hearts now beat as one,
and I wish for you only eternal happiness,
I wish you long days of fun-filled summer sun.
And our story that started back in Michigan,
well, since then we've all spread our wings,
but I'm so glad you've found your happiness,
you've found the gold in your wedding rings.
You and Salvo are simply made for each other,
and I'm sure your life together will be a dream,
because you seem to fit one another perfectly,
it's quite obvious you make remarkable team.
Two Virgoans, born under the same sign,
quite plainly, you are each other's destiny,
because some things just go and happen,
and some things are meant to be.
And you both like your old love songs,
well, long may you have music in your heart,
and I just wanted to say I love you,
but in truth, I just didn't know where to start.
So, maybe I'll finish by looking upwards,
and asking the blessings of those in the heavens above,
because I just wanted to wish you lifelong happiness,
but most of all, just like the song, I wish you love. |
