Who do you want the poem written for: wife
Why do you want the poem written: We have been married for 7 years this january. We have 4 beautiful children. There is clearly not enough time to appreciate my wife on a daily basis and a thoughtful poem would show the appreciation she deserves
What style of poem would you prefer (happy, sad, romantic etc.): happy, romantic, appreciative
What are the key messages you would like to send: love, gratitude, appreciation. Aknowledge how special it is that we share the experience of raising four children. It is difficult at times but so rewarding.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: I will have to give this some thought. Perhaps a good memory about each child, one that we both have.
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: I would like my children integrated into the poem.

Reason In My Rhyme
Hello, my wonderful wife,
these words are just for you,
because I'm proud of who you are,
and I'm very proud of what you do.
And I just wanted to say "I love you",
but in truth, I didn't know where to start,
so I thought I'd share a few feelings,
and give you some words, they're straight from the heart:
Firstly, I'll begin by looking upwards,
and thanking those in the heavens above,
because I know I've been blessed to have shared you,
I know that I've been blessed with your love.
My heart only beats for you and the children,
you are in just about my every single thought,
and I also wanted to thank you for being you,
and to thank you for your understanding, your support.
I know there are not enough hours in the day to thank you,
but you are in my blood, racing around each and every vein,
and with every beat of my heart I think of you,
so there you are (and there you are, again and again).
I'd also like to thank you for our four beautiful children,
truly, they are our dreams personified,
and I know they couldn't have chosen a finer mother,
I know they couldn't, even if they'd tried.
I also know that it can be difficult raising four,
but I know it's also such a rewarding time,
and I'm so glad that I'm sharing that time with you,
because you are the one that has put reason in my rhyme.
I also wanted to say "you're very special",
in truth, you mean the very world to me,
and I just wanted to thank you for being so wonderful,
you've made my world a much better place to be.
Because I also wanted to say "Happy Anniversary",
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, you're truly wonderful,
and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore. |
