Why do you want the poem written: Joe is my cousin whom I have always thought of as my little brother and I want him to know how excited I am that they are getting married
What are the key messages you would like to send: Joe - I am always there for you as a sister and friend and thank you for always being there for me...Sheila, even though it was always understood, I have been waiting for over a decade to officially welcome and embrace you to the family with open arms and love
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: Joe and Sheila - I have watched the two of you grow from the beginning till now and seen how our love has blossomed...You both have been through different phases in your life and I am glad that I was able to be part of those times
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: Married life is truly special this I truly know from my own experience with Dharu...two people unite to become one and become inseparable....

Ladies and gentlemen,
can I have your attention please?
because every now and then in life,
there's opportunity you should seize.
And that moment is upon us,
after all, Joe and Sheila have just got wed,
and I've got some thoughts on my mind,
yes, there's a few heartfelt words that need to be said.
Firstly, I wanted to celebrate your coming together,
there's so much to say in these lines I've had penned.
Joe, I've always thought of you as my little brother,
and Sheila, you've always been a very good friend.
And it's always been so very understood,
but I've been waiting over a decade for this,
I'm so excited that you've finally got married,
after all, you've already had 12 years of unwedded bliss.
Joe, I'll always be there for as a sister and a friend,
and I'd like to thank you for always being there for me,
and I wanted to thank you both for just being you,
because you've made my world a better place to be.
Sheila, let me officially welcome you with open arms,
let me give you a big hug, a big family embrace,
we're so glad that you're now part of this family,
you've already put an extra smile on this smiling face.
I have watched you two from the very beginning,
and it seems like your love has blossomed and grown,
you have both been through difficult phases in your life,
I'm glad that I was there to help (you can't do it all on your own),
I truly know from my own experience with Dharu,
that nothing beats the splendor of married life,
two people unite to become one and inseparable,
two people, one marriage, husband and wife.
Now, when you think in aeonic and Universal terms,
12 years is not long to wait, so it seems,
but for us mere mortals, it was over 4,000 days,
that's a long tome to wait for one of our dreams.
Because it seemed so very obvious from the outset,
that you two were simply perfect together,
and now we're looking toward your future,
because you already have a love, destined to last forever.
And I just wanted to wish wealth, health and happiness,
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, Joe and Sheila, you're truly wonderful,
and here's your everlasting love for evermore. |
