The Seed

We feel our love is like a seed,
if we nourish it carefully, it will grow,
and we just wanted to thank you for being you,
and there's a few other things that you should know:

We are who we are because of you,
you have helped make us who we are today,
and we just wanted you to come and join us,
but we do have a few other things to say:

Because you will help that seed grow,
with loving care it'll grow into a sturdy plant,
and through that growth we'll learn together,
we'll learn that there's no such word as can't.

Because the plant will become a sapling,
and then that sapling will become a tree,
and together we'll harvest it's bountiful fruits,
love, joy, peace, patience, faith and harmony.

We'll rejoice in sharing all of that harvest,
because the tree will thrive through Jesus our lord,
and it's because of all your love and kindness,
well, that's why we've flown and truly soared.

So, please come and join us on our wedding day,
and watch us plant our seed in the welcoming earth,
because we value our friends and our family,
yes, we know exactly what you're truly worth.

Because with you in our lives we're so rich,
we have wealth beyond earthly measure,
so please help us to care for and nurture our seed,
so we can all keep the fruits, as a lifelong treasure.
