Towards The Mountains

Hello, my wonderful Marc,
these words are just for you,
because I'm proud of who you are,
and I'm very proud of what you do.

And I just wanted to say "I love you",
but in truth, I didn't know where to start,
so I thought I'd share a few feelings,
and give you some words, straight from the heart.

Firstly, I'll begin by looking upwards,
and thanking those in the heavens above,
because I know I've been blessed to have shared you,
I know that I've been blessed with your love.

And now we've blown towards the mountains,
I'm so thankful for those wonderful winds of fate,
because I'm about to live out my life with you,
my one and only, my best friend, my soul-mate.

I know that very soon, we'll find the right place,
and there, together, we'll get to live out our dream,
you and me, a log cabin, a barn, maybe a beautiful horse,
together, we'll create the world's greatest team.

It'll be so serene and peaceful in the mountains,
we'll create a perfect future on which we can build,
happy together in each other's arms and company,
and yes, together we'll be truly fulfilled.

I know that you are my one and only true love,
and with you, I want to spend the rest of life,
and it doesn't matter whether it's on paper,
in every way, I promise to be your faithful wife.

So towards the mountains we will climb,
and then in life, we'll find it's truest peak,
just know that I'll love you for all eternity,
and now I have no more words, so to speak.
