Incredible Love
Hello, Chris and Karen,
these words are just for you
because I?m proud of who you are
and I?m very proud of what you do.
Ten years is an important smilestone,
you should be both proud of what you?ve achieved,
you?ve loved and supported each other
you've both had a dream to be believed.
And your support for me has also been enormous,
and I?d like to thank you from the bottom of my heart,
and I?ve so many heartfelt words to say,
the only difficulty is just knowing where to start.
Because you?ve been here for me when it mattered the most,
and believe me, I needed you to lean upon,
and in my darkest, darkest moments
your love for me was magnificent and it brightly shone.
And that light warmed those cold days,
when the Colorado mountains never looked so bare,
and there were days when I struggled,
there were days when all I could do was despair.
But your love was just incredible
and I don?t use that word flippantly,
because you have both been so magnificent
and you made my world a better place to be.
You truly are a great couple
and plainly, you really do work as a team,
and I?m so happy you?re striving towards your purpose
I think it?s very important to have a dream.
From Karen feeling faint on her wedding day,
to Chris being nervous about the best man not keeping time,
I think you?ve both done so splendidly,
I?m so glad you?ve found the words to rhyme.
From Florida to the Colorado hills,
you keep moving right along,
and soon there?ll be another child
to join what is already a happy throng.
And I know that Dad is still with us,
I can feel him here, with a sense of pride,
for he too knows Chris couldn?t have been a finer son,
and Karen couldn?t have been a better bride.
I just wanted to say Happy 10th Anniversary
That?s really what these words are for,
here?s to you Chris, here?s to you Karen
and here?s to everlasting love for evermore |
