Who do you want the poem written for: My husband Kevin

Why do you want the poem written: We were married on December 28, 2003 and have been apart since then due to our jobs, but we will soon be together again this July for good! I want to give something special to my husband for Valentine's Day that helps explain the love and appreciation that I feel for him every day of my life.

What are the key messages you would like to send: I tried to find the right words to express exactly how I feel about my husband, but I find that there aren?t enough words in the world to even begin to express just how important he is to me and how much I love him. Never could I have imagined that I was going to meet someone as special and wonderful as him! He has brought so many wonderful things into my life and has taught me so very much about trust, love, and patience. With our particular situation, we have had to spend a considerable amount of time apart due to work and patience has become a huge part of our relationship There?s no one else in the world who understands me as much as he does. We fit together ?perfectly?. It feels right when I am with him and there is no where else I would rather be then in the comfort of his arms. I am a better person since I met him. He makes me want to be a better person and to strive to do the best that I can. I want to make him happy and to give him the happiness that he deserves and so much more! Even though we have spent so little time with each other, I find that I love him even more than I could have ever possibly imagined! I knew from the moment I met him that there was something very wonderful about him, and I had to know what it was. What I realized was that he was the man I was going to marry and spend the rest of my life with. With every passing day I find myself even more in love with him and my only wish is that I am able to show him how much he means to me and treat him as wonderful as he?s treated me. The day he asked me to be his wife was the most amazing and joyous day of my life! He always leaves me wanting more; I can never get enough of him.
He is my best friend, my lover, my soul mate, my husband, my everything. I can?t wait until the day when we are together again because saying goodbye is so very hard. I don?t want to say goodbye anymore. Sometimes I lay awake at night or find myself day dreaming about what life with him is going to be like when we are finally living together as husband and wife and I get so overjoyed because I know that our life together is going to be a wonderful journey! He is the most unbelievably sensitive, understanding, and loving husband I could have ever asked for. I love our long conversations that we have on the phone because even though I know that we are separated by thousands of miles, he makes me feel as though he?s right there with me. I am the happiest when I am with him and my saddest without him. I love him with all of my heart and soul!

Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable
moments that you would like to share: I knew the day I met him that I was going to marry him even though he thinks he's the won how won me over with his charming personality. In all actuality, it was I who won him over! He belts out tunes to Journey and Tom Petty when we take long road trips?he?s my ?Juke Box Hero? We always talk about retiring in Maine. I will own my own fishing boat and he will perfect his skills at making canoes in our garage. If that doesn?t work, then we will drop everything and find ourselves a cabin in the woods and become forest rangers!

Do you have any other comments or thoughts: We both know that it doesn?t matter where we are in the world or what we are doing as long as we are doing it together. Being apart the past couple of years because of our jobs has been difficult, but we have survived and it?s only made us stronger in our marriage and as a couple! The song we chose to have sung at our wedding was "Unforgettable" and that fits perfectly for how we both feel about each other! We are two silly people wrapped up in each other's love! We had ceramic turtles on top of our wedding cake because I was never really big into the whole "boyfriend/girlfriend" title, so instead, I called him my little turtle! I guess it's a little silly, but that's us. People at our reception kept asking us what the signifigance of the turtles, but it would have sounded ridiculous to try to explain it! I guess now it's become more of a little joke between the 2 of us. I appreciate him and all that he does for me and all that he is! I am so very proud of his accomplishments and I know that he will be wonderful in whatever he does because I will be right by his side to support him and love him through it all.
