Why do you want the poem written ?: I want the poem written because I think it is a unique way to say I love you that you can't find in a store and it is so much more personal when he knows that it is especially for him.

Other Comments: When he proposed he gave me a book of love poems and had cut out the insides of the pages and placed the ring inside the cutout part. He wrote on an index card "There comes a time in every man's life when he must take a chance and chose a wife. That time has finally come to be so will You take a chance and marry me?

I thought that was just the most special thing in the world and when I lifted the index card to find the ring it dropped in the spaghetti plate that he had made me for dinner that night. It was really great.

Spaghetti Ring

?There comes a time in every man?s life?. You see, I?ve remembered just every word and now it?s my turn to have my say, because I have a few things that should be heard. Firstly, I just wanted to say that I love you, that?s really what these words are for, you are everything that I?ve ever dreamed of and then, magically, you?re just a little bit more. I look forward to every day that I spend with you and that?ll be every day, because I am your wife and I?m looking forward to our future, our times together, for the rest of my life. Your proposal was so very magical and you cut out this little girl?s heart and I wanted to equal that gesture, but in truth, I didn?t know where to start. I?m so glad you took the chance, so glad you took the chance with me, because you are my dreams personified, you make my world a better place to be. I know things don?t always go our way, rings even get dropped in a spaghetti plate, but I wanted you to know that we?re in this together, that you, my love, are my soul-mate. So, Happy First Anniversary, one down, with many more to follow and I?m so glad that your ring is on my finger, because it would have been just too hard to swallow.
