Why do you want the poem written: For our 11th wedding anniversary

What are the key messages you would like to send: Now that we are apart (because I'm deployed soldier in Kuwait) I like for her to know how much I love and miss her. This is the first time since we've been married that we've been separated for this long period of time. So its been difficult for her to raise our two daughters HeartLee(5) and Preslee(2) by herself. However, in some ways it has strengthen are love for each other.

Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: I met Daun during my first year of teaching. Her classroom (K-5) was located across the hall from mine. We started talking and within 6 months we were married. Interestingly, our wedding took place in the gymnasium. She at that time all the children she had taught during her career (appox.70) singing in the wedding. She even had her junior high cheerleaders as junior bridesmaids. It seemed more of a production than a wedding. We even got a 10 second segment on the local news. Apparently, it must have been unusual for two teachers to get married in the school gym.

Do you have any other comments or thoughts: Even though we've had are ups and downs over the course of 11 years she has always been a wonderful wife and mother to our two daughters. We have just recently purchased our first home which is great to raise our children in a good, Christian environment.

Do you have any last comments or thoughts: I know its short notice but I would like for her to receive the poem by the weekend. Our anniversary is the 16th of April. This would be every important to me because though the years she has mentioned on several occasions that I don't write her little love letters or express my feelings like I use to when we were dating.

Love Letters

This is the first time since we?ve been married, the first time we?ve been apart for so long, and I wanted you to know that I?m missing you, I wanted you to know that something is wrong. You see, I miss you so very much, I miss your warmth, your look, your smell, because this soldier loves you madly, I hope by now you can surely tell. I know it?s been difficult raising Heartlee and Preslee, because you?ve had to do so much on your own, at least you get to watch them blossom, and they?re blooming because of the love that you?ve shown. And we?ve come a long way since K5, I wish right now, we were just across the hall, because the very thought of you inspires me, builds me, in fact, I feel about 10 feet tall. Our wedding day was simply unbelievable, the choir was made up of those you?d taught, it was quite unusual for two teachers to get married in a gym, at least, that?s what the local news team thought. Even though we?ve had our ups and downs, (and life is never a rose filled dream) you?ve been a wonderful wife and mother, and everyone knows that we?re truly a team. And buying your first home is always a big step, (one small step for man, one giant leap for married kind) and I know what we have is so precious it?s so very rare and so hard to find. And I know I haven?t written you too many love letters well, as you can see, that was in the past, because these words are straight from the heart, and I?ve got a feeling they?re going to last. Because I?ve never really told you this before, but do you know just how beautiful you really are? If my love for you were a distance, then it would be further than the furthest star. And you are beautiful on the in and the out, and it doesn?t really matter how much you weigh, but I?m proud that you?ve reached your former glory, and now, I do have one last thing to say. When you sing it?s like when an angel?s sung, and I?m so lucky to have you for my wife, I promise I?ll send you lots more love letters, and I will do, for the rest of my life. Because you?re so very beautiful, and you mean the very world to me, you are my soul, my heart, my everything, but most of all, you are my destiny.

Just wanted to let you know my wife received the poem. It caught her off guard because it was the last thing she expected from me. But she loved it!!! She even cried tears of joy. Thank you again for the good work.
