A poem for my loving wife on her 40th Birthday, to tell her I love her more now than 20 years ago!

Full Name: Tom Kindred

Who do you want the poem written for?: Patti Kindred my loving wife and best friend

Why do you want the poem written ?: The main reason is it is her 40th birthday on March 7th. Coincidently, I started dating her on March 4th 20 years ago.

Key?Messages: How much my son Connor 3 and I love her, love spending time together, and want to spend the rest of our lives together. More in love today than 20 years ago. Looking back and looking forward over the time together.

Memorable Moments: Patti used to work for my family business back in the early 80's ...Great Skate Roller Centre. When I asked her for a date she agreed. When I came home for the weekend and our date, there was a note on my door that she had chicken pox. I thought is was an excuse not to see me. I called her and we did see each other anyways and 20 years later here we are. We have been trying to have a child for many years and were not successful until Connor (born July 22, 2002). We are now ready for another. Man a kid this young at our age is really tiring, but we would not give it up for anything. Other memorable moments.. putting our dog Amir down after 15 years with us, sitting in St. Marks Square in Italy at night having a drink listening to violin after all the tourists had left.

In Amsterdam we were touring the Rijksmuseum on our anniversary date - Aug 30, (big one) as part of our 4 week European vacation in 1998. As we were leaving we heard a brass band playing in a cove under the museum. They were from St. Petersburg Russia. I went over to listen as Patti sat in the park outside close by. As I started walking back to her, the bank started playing Handel's Canon - the exact piece played by at brass band for our wedding exit from the church.

Connor is the centre of our life. We thoroughly enjoy this little man. Whether it is his Sponge Bob - Square Pants cartoons or his babba (his blanket), or how quickly they develop.

We are both Professional engineers so dinner conversations are always interesting.

Lastly, Patti gives 200% to this family. Her gourmet coking every night, laundry, cleaning, working ...what ever she finds the time and energy to do it all. She always lets us know how much she loves us. I need her to know how much we love her. Since we have been together, I give her cards that have "Always and forever" to show my love for her.

Last year we purchase a 1966 Cobra 427 race car from South Africa. She is always quick to remind me.. it is OUR car...

Style:romantic, fun, happy and
sad ..

Package Type: Unique
Last thoughts: Love and fun in the past ...good and bad...look forward to many more years... We have a blonde terrier dog called Dudley that always runs away,
Patti, Connor and I on the beach in Puerto Vallarta Mexico making mermaids in the sand skiing in Banff and watching Connor take his first lessons
the "I love you Mommy and Daddy" your my best friends from Connor

Always and Forever

Always and forever,
three words you can say quite fast,
but they talk of a time that is infinite,
a time that will never end and always last.

And beware the Ides of March,
that is something that was once said,
but the author is long since gone,
his works forgotten, long since dead.

But I reckon the tides of March,
well, they?re much nicer, it?s plain to see,
because March was the month you were born
and March, was when you started dating me.

And ever since that day, twenty years ago,
I feel like I?ve been blessed by the heavens above,
it's not just because of your friendship,
most of all, it's because of your love.

We used to work at the Great Skate Roller Centre,
I asked you for a date and you gladly agreed
but on the weekend you had chickenpox
and an outing is just what you didn't need.

But happily, we didn?t let those spots get in our way
we?ve been together ever since that time
I just wanted to say ?I love you? and because of you,
I?ve finally got my words to rhyme.
#
You and I have shared so many meaningful moments
at the Rijks, the brass band played our song,
and in St. Marks Square we listened to the violin late at night
we both cried when our beloved Amir was gone.

Connor took his time in arriving,
but you just can?t hurry a mighty soul
and with him in our lives we?re nearly complete,
although another one might make us truly whole.

A young kid at our age is really tiring,
but we wouldn?t change a single thing,
it?s amazing how much joy we have,
it?s wonderful how much love one boy can bring.

You always give two hundred per cent to your family,
laundry, cleaning, gourmet dinners every night
and our dinner conversations are always interesting,
who said engineers are not that bright?

I don?t know where you find the energy,
because you give us your all and then a little bit more
and we just wanted to say we love you,
I guess that?s really what these words are for.

The wonderful memories we keep on buliding,
they're just like the mermaids in the Mexican sand,
"I love you Mommy and Daddy, you're my best friends",
the simple truth was drawn by such an artistic hand.

And I?ve enjoyed looking back through time,
but now I?m looking forward to getting old,
because I know we?ll be writing many more stories,
our future stories ? as yet unwritten and untold.

We just wanted to say Happy 40th Birthday,
because we really have come so very far
and we?re looking forward to our many more years
and yes dear, I will let you drive "our" car.

Finally, Connor and I do love you so
and we love spending our time together
and I know I love you more than I've ever done before
and I know that we?ll love you, always and forever.

Comments:

"Allen,

I think you hit it! It looks great. I am okay with this draft. In my previous email I have opted not to have you sign poem...but on rethinking, I would like you to.

Look forward to the final product. I understand that this will also be put in a gift box.

Thanks again, Tom Kindred"
