The Amazing Grace

I'm so happy I know you,
A girl called Giorgia Grace,
You've got the cheeks of a cherub,
And the cutest little face.

And as you lay gurgling,
With eyes as blue as the sky,
It's hard to describe how pretty you are,
But I'll give it one good try.

I only need one word, and that's "Bonny",
I know it's an overworked clich?,
But the day they stopped calling me Bonny,
Well, that was a pretty sad day.

You were surrounded by love,
When you was born in this city of steel,
And as your grandmother,
I know how my son must feel.

I don't think your Mum and Dad,
Will be having any more,
So you are destined to be the youngest,
Of what we could call "The Egan Four".

I know you've got a great future,
But that's another time and a place,
But for now I'm happy to call you,
Giorgia, The Amazing Grace.
