Thank You, Bridesmaids
Hello, my wonderful bridesmaids,
these words are just for you,
because I'm proud of who you are,
and I'm very proud of what you do.
And I just wanted to say "I love you",
but in truth, I didn't know where to start,
so I thought I'd share a few feelings,
and give you some words, straight from the heart.
I wanted you all to know how much you mean to me,
and I want us to remember the good times, forever,
because I do love each and everyone of you,
and I'll never forget the times we've spent together.
You'll always be very important to me,
and I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my soul,
because you have made my life so rich, so complete,
and yes, you've all played a magnificent role:
Melissa, you're like a sister, who always makes me laugh,
we share everything, apart from our chosen males,
although they can get a little annoyed with us,
but today, we won't share all of our little tales.
Gloriana, we met at work a few years ago,
and we've become very close since that time,
you've a wonderful heart and would help anyone in need,
and you've helped to put the reason in this rhyme.
Amber, I also met you at work,
I'd like to thank you for keeping me down to Earth,
and I think everyone should have an Amber in their life,
if they're to discover their true and honest worth.
Marlena, my cousin, we grew up together,
and at your house, I've spent many weekends,
and even though we grew apart, in recent years,
we've still managed to remain the best of friends.
Lucy, there was a time when we couldn't get along,
but I guess every sister has a sister just like that,
but when you moved away, I realized how much I needed you,
now we're more than sisters, we're friends (and that's a fact).
Karen, my soon to be sister-in-law,
I'm so excited to be a part of your family,
you are a truly spirited, wonderful person,
and you've made my world a better place to be.
Kristina, I can't imagine life without you,
you're smart and you know what fashion is all about,
and you make me feel like I'm your number one aunt,
well, you're number one in my charts (let's twist and shout).
Sofia, the one great thing to come out of my sister moving away,
although I guess, by now, this should come as no surprise,
you're a gorgeous, energized bunny with beautiful curly hair,
I can't wait to see you in that dress (with those rich, hazel eyes).
And together, we've shared so many wonderful moments,
in truth, there's just too many to individually list,
just know that each and every one is precious,
there's not one that we would have missed.
So, I think I'll finish by saying: "I love you all",
actually, I've never really said just how wonderful you are,
but if my love for you were a distance,
then it would be further than the furthest star.
I also wanted to say: "Thank You, Bridesmaids",
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you all, you're truly wonderful,
and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore. |
