What are the key messages you would like to send: when this occured, what mother and father went through and there emotions at the time - how they wouldnt leave his side - didnt sleep - didnt eat, how many people loved him and were pulling for him, how very strong he was - and fought to stay alive - tough little kid, still two more things/surgerys to go through, has a brother "9" (drew), and a sister "14" (Kayln)(step brother and sister, but no need to mention that

Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: things to know........this is the fathers first biolog. child......the family is very out doories, like to hike, likes nature, likes to hunt, loves football and all kinds of sports, loves animals.............I am really just looking for a poem that reflexs back on the time, the emotions of the situation, the hope, prays , and fears that were racing through everyone, and how very strong and spec. we believe he is

Do you have any other comments or thoughts: my cousin (she is like a sister!) had a baby boy "Kyle Bennett" on x-mas 2004, he had a heart problem, and was life flighted to childrens hospital, we all including parents had to drive 2-hours to get there, not knowing the problem.........we found out he was missing some values in his heart, and also wasnt get enough oxgen to his lungs, BUT this could be fixed with open heart. he had open heart surgery at 3-months and was on Good friday!, went very well first two days, was going home the next day, then heart valve started to leak, they had to go back in chest two times in 4- hours, very dismale out come, but a day and half later, doing well again, prognosis good, a couple more weeks hopfully will go home. will need a surgery at 1-yrs old, open heart again, and then a small one at mid teen age

That Wondrous Fighting Spirit

Very often life can be a battle, and it?s never all plain sailing on Planet Earth, but Kyle Bennet, you?ve already proven you?re a fighter, yes, you?ve proven what one life is really worth. You came into the World during Christmas 2004, but then literally, you had to take a life flight, we all had to drive 2 hours to get there, and that was only the start of a very long night. We found out that you were missing some values, but you weren?t also getting enough oxygen to breathe, so at 3 months, you underwent open heart surgery, and all we could do was to pray and to believe. You weren?t very well for the first two days, and then a heart valve started to leak, they went back into your chest, twice in four hours, and those surgeons were literally performing miracles, so to speak. At first it was such a dismal outcome, but after 30 hours, things started to look good, and despite some future surgery, you?re going to be okay, but of course, we always knew you would. Because do you know how much you are loved, we?ve never really said just how loved you really are, but if our love for you were a distance, then it would be further than the furthest star. And you?ve had so many prayer said for you, they couldn?t help but listen in the heavens above, because they know we?ve been blessed to have shared you, they do know that we?ve been blessed with your love. And it won?t be long before you?re riding around, I can just see you now, sitting on your very first bike, and of course, your family really loves the outdoors, so it won?t be long before you?ll be off on a hike. But no matter where you chose to travel, and I?m sure in your life, you?ll get to roam, but no matter where you end up trekking, you?ll find that there?s no place like home. And no one will ever love you like your parents, they didn?t sleep, didn?t eat, they wouldn?t leave your side, and there were so many people there pulling for you, for you, they all feel this emotional sense of pride. Because you were so strong, such a fighter, and life, well, you chose that you?d be right in it, and Kyle, just know that you are truly loved, please keep on with that wondrous fighting spirit. Because we know you?re a tough little kid, but there?s two more hurdles you?ve got to get through, just know that we?ll all be cheering you on, and that Kyle, we?re very proud of you.
